About Powster

We are a fast growing creative studio based in Los Angeles, with a team in London UK also. Our team of international producers, artists and developers work towards three main streams of output:

1. Our Showtimes Platform powers most of the major movie websites across the world and boasts all the major movie studios as our clients. Over 45 million people a month visit our sites.

2. Our Creative Builds range from projects making full creative movie websites and VR to interactive music videos.

3. Our Products are bespoke direct to public products. We have recently launched a trailer watching site for movies in cinemas around you. Trailered has been conceived, designed and built in-house and you would be responsible for making it a success, launching it to movie fans in the US, UK and beyond to help them discover movies in cinemas around them.

What You’ll Work On

Powster Studio Marketing:
Powster has a fantastic reputation and far-reaching contacts throughout the movie industry, particularly in the UK and we need to continue to work to reinforce our position as a market leader and to grow awareness with new clients in the US and other international territories. We also want to ensure that the best of the best talent wants to work at Powster, so building our name within the creative and tech industries is very important. Your role will be to work with both the LA and London teams to plan and implement marketing activity - from social comms and web hubs to event sponsorship and keynote speeches from key Powster personnel - to showcase our amazing work and products.

Trailered is our very first B2C product. The objective of the platform is to help with movie discovery by allowing users to discover movies playing in cinemas around them through the power of custom-curated trailer playlists. For example, filter to see comedies playing on Friday night and Trailered will present a playlist of trailers with info on each film and links to book tickets. It's that simple. This helps drive traffic to our core product; our movie ticketing websites. Trailered has been soft-launched at selected film industry events, but you will be responsible for devising and executing plans to make Trailered known far and wide!

General Duties and Responsibilities

The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for designing, creating, and delivering marketing programs to support the growth and expansion of company products and services.

They will work with senior management team to:

  • Build on our reputation as a leading creative and cutting-edge technology studio
  • Attract the best developers & creatives
  • Engage client interest in our products and support our sales team
  • Launch Trailered, initially in the UK and US, and grow awareness, traffic, and engagement

  • Plan strategy and implementation of Powster and Trailered social activity
  • Co-ordinate Powster involvement in conferences, exhibitions, and marketing seminars.
  • Plan and execute Powster and Trailered paid media, publicity and communications activity
  • Write copy for marketing communications
  • Ensure timely delivery of marketing materials with creative team
  • Manage and other Powster online channels (eg. Behance) to keep them up to date and effectively promoting Powster and our work
  • Analyse and report on Powster marketing activities to inform ongoing plans
  • Provide reports based on external information collected such as marketing trends, competition, and new products

  • Minimum 2 years marketing experience
  • Digital marketing background
  • Familiarity with current entertainment marketing strategies and trends
  • Experience working directly with clients and partners
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Nice to haves

  • Experience working in the entertainment or technology industries, or for a start-up
  • Good knowledge of and passion for film
  • Additional language skills
  • Experience working with US, UK and international markets
