We are looking for a motivated and aspiring Studio Manager to support our amazing team of international producers, artists and developers and keep the studio running smoothly. The role is a full-time or part-time position based out of our Los Angeles studio.



About Powster

We are a digital creative studio, specialising in film and music, with studios in London and Los Angeles. We have a team of 30 people working across both offices. Our team works across 3 areas:

1. Our Showtimes Platform powers most of the major movie websites across the world and boasts all the major movie studios as clients.

2. Our Creative Builds range from projects making VR movie sites and interactive music videos to projecting tweets on the houses of parliament.

3. Our Custom Builds (Powster Labs) include a variety of innovative movie-discovery and cutting-edge entertainment marketing tools.

We like to think that anything is possible when pitching, and if we haven’t done it before we’ll pull together, work it out and make it happen. This comes from having the drive to make the unseen! With our diverse and talented team, we work across a variety of projects, from technical, interactive builds to large scale video productions.

Our Ideal candidate:

This role would suit someone who is passionate about providing great service. The Studio Manager will be responsible for the smooth, efficient and professional running and maintenance of the studio front-of-house and common areas. You'll also be responsible for making it a great working environment, so handling team perks, organising team lunches and thinking up great new ways to build the team and culture at the company.

Everyone pitches in at Powster so you’ll need to be willing to pick up a variety of different jobs and always up for a challenge, big or small.

With the vast majority of our work being movie-related, a love for film and cinema would certainly mean you’ll get the best out of working as part of the Powster team!

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain studio space and keep everything running smoothly
  • Manage front-of-house (answer phone, greet guests, book meetings, schedule studio maintenance appts, etc)
  • Work across management teams
  • Order food and drinks for the drinks fridge
  • Idea generate things to improve the studio space
  • Keep plants healthy, buy more plants
  • Source art and furniture to make the workspace awesome
  • Keep track of events and coordinate with Powster marketing
  • Make the studio a great space for clients
  • Keep hype levels high in the studio
  • Handle travel and accommodation for staff, when necessary
  • Handle purchases of studio essentials, new equipment, groceries, etc
  • Support with intern recruitment and management
  • Support with new hire process
  • Co-ordinate company social activities
  • Assist with invoicing / raising POs / general studio work

  • Extremely well-organised, thrives on balancing multiple projects under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and pro-active; happy to get stuck into whatever the role throws at you
  • Friendly and enthusiastic team player with great people and communication skills

Minimum 1 year relevant experience
